Texas, Yee Haaaaaa

We are in Texas now after a long hard drive from Iowa. The Trans Texas Corridor is not stopped and is being worked on still as the photos below will show. This is a travesty to all the people who will be losing their property, homes and lifestyles along this route plus a sure destruction of all that the American people have held dear for their entire lives. Not only does it affect the Texans but every American as this takes away our Countrys private highways.. Why would any one promote the destruction of our infrastructure of roads and give the ownership to a foreign country? what in the world is wrong with our politicians?

Last night we attended the GOP's Big BBQ Bash at the Koeinig's Ranch which turned out to be about 40 miles in the country and I mean country, dirt roads and all. Beautiful place once we got there but there was some doubt that we could even get there in this thing. But we did and were met by some very good people. One pervasive message we kept getting over and over is that RON PAUL can win the Straw Poll even with the odds set against him with only the delegates being able to vote. This is a bad thing really as new people have no say so and it is the older RINO's in the party that are able to cast a ballot. BUT... not many people seem to be going to the event as it is seen as just another money maker for the party with no real substance for the cost to the people going. One lady told me it just wasn't worth the money which would run their family about $800 by the time they paid the gas, hotel and food bills. So the idea now is to get as many supporters there and showing our desire for Ron for the Nomination etc. We have to make sure every one of the people who are allowed to vote know who we want them to vote for.

That scene with the horses was absolutely beautiful. These 4 horsemen just seemed to appear when the National Anthem was playing. so quietly they arrived that it seemed like they appeared out of nowhere. What a beautiful sight and a beautiful tribute to Texas. Our best photo of the day is with our friend we met in Iowa who happens to live in Houston that was at the BBQ also. Mr. Duncan Hunter didn't seem to realize what was on her shirt till later when he told me I owed him for that shot...

We are totally worn out, it seems like I have driven a thousand miles in a day. Karen our old Granny from Texas has her hands full. Take a look at her driveway with all the people staying here planning on going to the Straw Poll. that last photo is of Karen's best side...lol...

Speaking of tired, this is one little worn out monkey, after all it is hard work greeting everyone all day long every day.

I am getting this all confused, We went to the Houston Meetup before the BBQ and then to the other Houston Meet up on Friday also. What a group of folks we met at both meetups.. So eager to help and work together. We spent the night at the Houston meetup in the parking lot of the organizer on Friday and on Monday had a front row place in Marks drive way saving the RV charges at a park or staying at the local Wallmart as we usually do. We really appreciate these folks taking us under their wings and seeing we had parking places both nights. Every penny saved is one more we can put in the gas tank which seems to stay on empty.

I do appreciate all of your support and hope you all see the video Brian made for the Grannys. It features Buddy. No we didn't let him get drunk in fact the beer was actually soda but he didn't know that. You can see the video at: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sfQL2ra5a-w

I have enough funds to get to the Straw Poll and possibly get back home but would love to be able to travel more around Texas but for that I must ask for more support. It is up to you guys how far we go and what we do. I simply cannot afford to go any further into debt on this mission. I hate to ask and have always dreaded asking for help but have simply had to put pride aside and do so as I cannot do this alone. This is a grassroots effort and I need the support of every one of you to keep this RV on the road and showing support for our Candidate. Anyone who would like to see the exact expenditures please email me and I will send you the paypal accounting of expenses. Not a problem for me.

For those of you that have a problem seeing the photos go to the website: www.grannywarriors.com/texas1.htm

Again thank you all for your support in this effort.
