Road: Our visit to New Hampshire was overwhelming, we are back at home now planning on our next venture beginning in about a week. Reflecting back on our encounters in New Hampshire it is amazing at the wonderful people we met and have made our good friends. We had some problems with the RV, I, in an effort to save money bought all new tires before the trip. Thinking I was saving money I was talked into buying a brand of tire which is made in China. They were about half the price of American made tires and guaranteed for about the same mileage. Folks don't believe it. We had to replace 3 tires within a day. The steel just broke apart and the tires lost their shape and caused such a shimmy it put the front end out of line before we could get them changed.
Even Buddy was wondering what was going on with these shaky tires, and even more curious about the strange man crawling under the RV. We were extremely lucky in finding a tire place that was recomended by some good NH folks. This man was aware of the 911 mystery but had very little knowledge of Ron Paul or what he stands for. After Jay talked to him and showed him a few clips from the DVD's he carries with him the guy was sold. He was so happy to know someone was trying to do something about changing the country he gave us really good tires at his cost, ballanced and installed them free. What a blessing. We left him with a arm load of DVD's, signs and banners to hang from his garage. We were truly blessed meeting this man.
After getting new rubber we continued on to the largest Bike Week in the country. Laconia, New Hampshire. My lord what a town, very small right on a huge lake and beautiful scenery. Every square inch was taken up by tents, trailers and vendors selling everything you can imagine
Plus more bikers than I have ever seen at one time. The whole town shuts down for these guys.
We had a small problem finding a place to even stop much less park until a RV dealer came forward and allowed us to park in his lot in down town right at a cross roads. It did cost us $200 for a day but with the traffic that passed us it was worth the cost. Actually we got to stay for 2 days and one night. Another Ron Paul fan, the owner of the lot gave us until Sunday afternoon to pull out.
That night Jay hooked up flood lights and the RV looked like a Huge Neon Sign.
This brought in hundreds of people to see what we were up to. We handed out flyers, DVD;s and talked to these guys who by the way are very concious of losing their freedoms. Wave after wave of bikers would ride by with hands held high in the thumbs up mode. We had the whole side of the road covered with yard signs and Bette made her own Grassroots tribute to Ron. (below right) Have you ever been close to thousands of bikers all reving their engines at once? Trust me it is exciting, the whole ground viberates.
We stayed with Art ( undisclosed person at a undisclosed address) in Laconia. His place is beautiful, quiet and on a road I wouldn't like to drive every day. That is Art Our Undisclosed guy hiding from the camera in the passenger seat.
While in Laconia we met many Ron Paul supporters, NH is on fire with enthusiastic supporters. They had a sign wave on Sunday which Jay and Bette attended while I stayed with the RV and handed out info there. Eric and his family (below with Buddy) drove Bette and Jay to the Sign wave and were so generous with their help it was heartwarming.
And I am still working hard !
This trip has shown that we are getting the message out, many people knew who we were and stopped by just to say hello so we are getting the message out. We cannot do this on our own. We depend on your generosity and your desire to get Dr. Paul elected and to save all of our freedom. Everyone can afford $10.00 a month and it would buy 3 gallons of gas for us to keep on the road handing out more information and talking to people. Subscribe now to help keep Ron Paul's message going out to the public. Will you help us?
