Our Granny in Chapel Hill, NC, has been a busy bee. The "25th Annual Hillsborough Hog Day Fair" was held this past week end and of course Bette was there promoting Ron Paul. From all accounts it was a success and lots of people asked the question " Who is Ron Paul" and got the answer. Bette had the yard signs, bumper stickers and loads of brochures to hand out. The Fair did not have the room for the RV so Bette did the best job ever of setting up her little booth with the Ron Paul Revolution signs and various home made visual aids.

Being a "Warrior" Bette had her weapons ready at hand and was willing to give instructions to the younger generation.

Bette wrote this about the attendance to the fair:

We had great weather Saturday,June 16th for the Hog Day Fair at Hillsborough, NC.  The fair was well attended and we had a steady stream of people stopping at our table.    80 % of those people  asked "Who is Ron Paul ? "  Many expressed deep concern over the state of our Nation. Very few went away empty handed.   The Granny Weapons helped bring a few smiles. From the photos I think Scott also liked the Granny Weapons.  People were intrigued by the title "Granny Warriors" and the "Freedom Wagon"  

Scott and Rebecca Mullins, Howard Beatty and Jeff Jacobucci were all a great help during the day and many hands made light work, breaking down and packing at the end of the day.     We are looking forward to setting up again at the July 4th Carrboro Day Fair.

This past week we gained some more material for our campaign stops. We, after a lot of discussion on the pros and cons of spending the money we bought our own button maker. A good investment we think. We now have the ability to produce professional quality buttons for a very low cost and are able to get them out to the public at a very good price. We will be selling them for $1.00 each which is $2.00 less than the ones offered on the internet and at other vendors stands. We charge only to be able to replace our stock and keep those buttons going out to the public where they will be seen. We also have 300 yard signs. We were lucky enough to find a printer who is a Ron Paul fan and actually sent the signs to us with a promise from us to pay him as we sell them. We found another source of really good looking bumper stickers and are able to sell them for only a $1.00 each. All in all we now have the ability to get products out to the public and still be able to keep a stock of them on hand. Our object is not to make a profit but to make sure these items are distributed to the public where they will be seen and the name remembered.

This week the RV will be in the shop getting a once over, brakes and tune up getting ready for a hard summer as we will be going to California. Yep folks all the way across the country, just think of how many people will see the Freedom wagon on the road. We are in the middle of planning a really bang up 3 day bash there with concerts, tours and visits to the Retired Movie stars home with Ron Paul. The concert will be held on the Santa Monica pier. This is still in the planning stages but will happen. With California having such a huge base of Electoral votes it is imperative we get Ron Pauls name very familiar out there and this event will certainly do that.

We lost Jay as our driver but as things fall into place we now have a replacement, Art Pollock, who is very well liked and a activist in the best sense of the word will be going to California with us as driver and as a new Granny Warrior !

After California we will head back via Texas and San Antonia and a huge Concert there for Ron. The Bands4ronpaul group are working on that now. This should be a real big event and hopefully the Grannys can manage to hold up under the rock and roll noise..

We got word today that there is another event in Texas coming up on the 8th of July Texas Chicken Hoe-Down Bi-Centennial Birthday Bash in Crawford Texas,which Bette and I cannot attend due to other obligations but our Granny in Texas, Karen, will be there. We have a older RV that was donated to us in La. which Karen is working on painting up and making it another Freedom Wagon so we will have two vehicles on the roads gaining attention for Ron Paul. We will have photos of that event as soon as Karen can get the photos to us afterwards..

Karen is familiar with Crawford as we were there to confront President Bush last year. Of course we never got close to the President but did have the opportunity of talking to many of the Secret Service agents and giving them all DVD's to watch.. Karen did her best to stay out of trouble as you can plainly see.

All in all this is shaping up to be a very exciting summer for all of us and we will do our best to get as many photos and videos of where and what we are doing as we can.

NEWS FLASH:

I just got a call from Art, Dave and Joyce of the Power Hour are having a concert back up in New Hampshire to alert the country about the Brown's and their fight with the IRS. We have a invitation to return to NH and are working as you read to figure out how to get the funding to get back up there for that shindig. I will really love seeing the wonderful people of NH again. They are so on fire with Ron Paul it is uplifting to just be around them. Their motto: LIVE FREE OR DIE is one that we all need to think on. Who wants to live a life of serfdom to the Government? Not me !

And as you can see I am still working hard !
